Grandpa, I've got this assignment to do. My teacher asked us to do a report about radio and television through the decades. Do you know anything about this stuff? Dave asked his grandfather.
Now, TV is a completely different story. In the early 30s they started making the first public television broadcasts in the United States and Great Britain. In fact I remember when the first World Series was broadcast, back in 47, the Yanks were playing the Dodgers. By 46, they already had 12 stations down in the States and plans for another 346. It was because of this that what we all called 'the freeze' started. There were so many stations trying to broadcast that there weren't enough channels for all of them. In 1952 the FCC, that's short for Federal Communication Commission, came up with a system."
Grandpa, I think I've got more than enough information. I'm sure to get an A++ now. I want to start my report right now. Thanks, grandpa.
