Grandpa, I've got this assignment to do. My teacher asked us to do a report about radios and television through the decades. Do you know anything about this stuff? Dave asked his grandfather.
Now, in the late 80s and 90s, programming on television has basically remained the same, but the way that theTV gets into peoples homes has changed. No longer are people limited to receiving signals by antenna, but now cable broadcasting has become popular along with satellite transmission. The use of satellite means that TV signals can be transmitted around the world with the use of very little or no cables. This is done by sending the signal over what are known as microwaves to satellites that orbit around the earth."
Dave, did you know that there are now over 14 million television sets in homes across Canada? All of these homes are serviced by Canada's largest television network the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and its network of 30 affiliates.
Grandpa, I think I've got more than enough information. I'm sure to get an A++ now. I want to start my report right now. Thanks, grandpa.
