N. FRASER ALLAN lived in Toronto from 1911-1940. He studied with W.O. Forsyth and was a songwriter and pianist. He played with the Dumbells, a leading Canadian vaudeville troupe formed during WWI; and wrote many songs for their revues. He frequently collaborated with singer/lyricist Stanley K. Bennett on such songs as "Oh, You Canadian Town".
