CHARLES F. HARRISON (1883-1955), a lyricist, songwriter, publisher and banker from Hamilton, was the son of a prima donna in the Carl Rose Opera Company. His first compositions were mostly ragtime pieces and patriotic songs which were published by his own publishing house, C.F. Harrison and Co. of Vancouver and Toronto. Harrison moved to the US in 1919, where he started the Ted Browne Music Company and collaborated with various American composers on over 100 published songs.
