The Miners' Museum of Glace Bay is dedicated to preserving the rich history of mining in Cape Breton. Housed within its walls are a number of genuine artifacts from the 'boom era' of coal mining, an actual underground coal mine located beneath the building, as well as a 'simulated trip' into a colliery which is accomplished through modern computer technology. The museum has become a popular stop along scenic Cape Breton tourist routes. |
