-"William Budge arrived in Canada at the end of
the 18th century from the Orkney Islands to work for the Hudson`s Bay Company.
He married an Algonkin Woman by the name of Cicile Okitchikijikwe from
the Grand Lac Victoria region. Together they produced seven children, one
of whom was my Great Grandfather ....Tom Budge. This painting honors that
union."
