"The Eyes of a Bird"

Eyes of a Brid Image

-Etching,10x14"

The temptation of reason
became a statement of tradition.
A last chance to listen.
It came as a song
in the middle of the night,
whispering,
over and over again,
that it was cold
and hungry.

*excerpt from poem The Eyes of a Bird
A Bird Within a Ring of Fire, Michael Robinson, 1998
