In the early morning warmth
I salute the sun.
You have brought me so much joy
My food my comfort.

As the noonday sun rolls across the sky
I give thanks to the One who made us.
Lifting my arms to the heavens
The simple greeting I share.

I do the same at its setting
Knowing the light and its meaning.
The knowledge known since the dawn of time
He comes as light, our humility shines.
