The Team

This web site was produced under contract to Canada's Digital Collections, Industry Canada by:

Jonathan Lathigee
: Team Leader
Jonathan is a partner in Zero One Design and has a degree in Pacific and Asian Studies and Political Science from the University of Victoria. He enjoys working in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of technology, but not nearly as much as he likes writing about himself in the third person.

Norm Baskerville: Researcher/Writer
Norman Baskerville has published his short story work and is currently working towards completing his first novel. He originally pretended to like old buildings to impress his girlfriend, but now finds them interesting as inspiration for the settings in his writing.

Sheila Taylor: Researcher/Writer
Sheila contributes to her studies in Politics and Italian by watching the BBC world service and Pasolini films. She is planning to move to Rome and write stories fuelled by espresso.

Connie Vogt: Education Liaison
Connie is a student at Camosun College with a keen interest in online education. This is her first, but definitely not last, foray into the crafting of internet sites.

Erin Alexander: Web Designer
Erin has two passions in life, throwing together web pages and creating costumes and one day hopes to merge the two. She worked on this site while on summer vacation from Dalhousie where she studies costume design.

Angela Andersen: Researcher/Writer
Angela Andersen squeezes memories out of unsuspecting citizens, who are eased into a false sense of security with tea and cookies before she pounces for the interview. She likes pina coladas and gettin' caught in the rain.

The team would like to thank Pat Barclay, for her generosity in sharing snipppets of her book research for the site, the people who shared their memories, the staff at Crystal Garde: Bruce Tanner (Horticulturalist), John Creviston (Curator of Animals), Catherine Wollner (Program Co-ordinator), Tony Heeley and Brian Rowbottom from the Provincial Capital Commission and the few animals that stood still while we tried snapping pictures of them - you know who you are!
