Mail Sleigh:

This is a rudimentary mail sleigh, that would have been pulled by dogs, going from community to community delivering the mail.  It was only used in winter.  During the summer,  a horse and carriage or mail car would have been used. This particular sleigh is a very small one, and would have only been used to deliver mail to a small number of neighbouring communities that were in close proximity.
