This church was built in 1904 and was originally a Presbyterian Church. In 1977 the church was moved from its original location in Vars. It is a relatively small church (only enough seating for 150 people), however it would have been extremely important to the community, especially throughout the Depression. The church would have offered assistance to those suffering from economic hardships, organising social events and picnics to make life easier and more enjoyable during such hard times. Today the church is still as beautiful as ever. Although it may not have the extravagance of a Catholic Church of the same time, it has all the key features of a large Gothic Revival church. It also has beautiful yellow and red stained glass windows, which are original to the building and make it look unique. So now let's see what it looks like on the inside! |
