Pulpit:
This was originally a
Protestant Church and therefore the inside (aside from the stained glass windows) is quite
plain and simple. Despite this, the church still does retain a certain charm and
attraction so that people are still using it to get married in today. The woodwork of the
pulpit and altar is not ornate. During the Depression when people lived in poverty, it was
fitting that their church was simple and basic. They could not afford, nor would they have
been comfortable in, a church full of riches and gold. |
