This house was built in 1890 and was relocated to the museum
recently. The building currently holds a temporary
display of old farming machinery and some of the smaller tools that would have been used
by farmers. The museum however, has bigger plans for the building. They hope to transform
the building into Mr. Sharkey's pump shed. Mr. Sharkey was a very prominent man in
Cumberland, he owned the first pump shed in the community and this made him quite an
important man. The museum hopes to make a very realistic replica of what the pump shed
would have looked like when it was up and running. |
