READING EXPLORATION

Divide the class into sections. Each section reads a collection of 3 stories from one native group. Stories can be found in collections included in the resources section of this unit.

DISCUSSION

Students work in groups to compare the stories for similarities and differences.

CREATIVE WRITING

Students work in their group to create a new story similar to the style of stories/legends they just read. They should then choose 3 scences from the story and create a tableaux for presentation to the class.
