Although the origins of the Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface (CUSB) date back to the early 19th century, the faculty of education has only been in existence for about 25 years. We shall begin by exploring its past, which has been recons tructed from archival documents: photographs, letters, reports and dissertations. This first part, the faculty of education yesterday, is intended for Canadian history scholars, and particularly for people with an interest in the bilingual nature of Can ada. The second part deals with admission requirements and the existing programs of the faculty of education, and will be of interest to prospective students. In the third part, the faculty plans to develop a web site of particular interest to classroom teachers who are looking for appropriate materials and instructional strategies to use with French-language students. This site, the faculty of education tomorrow, will assist teachers in planning relevant and interesting classroom activities.
