The Wells Centennial Hall is the most timely restoration project on the Measured Drawings Site, because it's the focus of a large community campaign by the townsfolk of Wells to restore the old hall. The small community has restored many other old buildings privately and with the help of goverment funding. Wells Centennial Hall

The spacious Wells Centennial Hall yearns to be returned to its old glory, but right now the hall is run-down and in need of a complete overhaul. (Friends of Wells Community Hall) So far the community efforts are paying off, and through several successful fundraising projects, the town has scraped together enough money to complete the first phase of their restoration plans. There have been bingos, garage sales and a gold nugget raffle. Old residents are urged to 'send a dollar for every time they danced at the hall.' The entire restoration will take about $300,000 and the town has managed to raise $41,500. The entire building needs restoration, from foundation to roof, and the community would like to retain as many of the original features as possible. Features such as banisters, a maple floor, fir finishes and wainscotting are still intact, but are in need of some care and attention.

The restoration schedule is based on the recommendations made in three heritage conservation reports.
