The Fletcher Store is a large building situated in the small town of Ainsworth, B.C. The 1880 building was made of log construction, while the present building is built from cement and rock foundation and wood. The store measures 25 by 100 feet, which attributes to the large quantities of supplies that were sold in the early days. shelving

Store Front The most distinguished features of the Fletcher Store are the interior shelving, fireproof storage room, and classic frontier store front (Frank D'Ambrosio. Fletcher Store, Ainsworth, B.C. p. 1). The building also holds unique characteristics, such as the double steel doors and stone walls (Frank D'Ambrosio. Fletcher Store, Ainsworth, B.C. p. 1). In addition, the clay foundation beneath the store floor and above the ceiling of the storeroom, protected the town's only supplies (Frank D'Ambrosio. Fletcher Store, Ainsworth, B.C. p. 1).
