To be classified as a Technician, the following requirements must be met.

Community economic development philosophy and theory	An introductory course addressing community development philosophy and theory.
Community economic development practices	A senior level course addressing community development practices.
Community and political processes	An introductory course addressing Aboriginal community and political processes.
The nature, structure and functioning of organizations	An introductory organizational behaviour course.
The context of Aboriginal economic development	An introductory Native studies course addressing economic development.
Contemporary Aboriginal development approaches and issues	A senior level course addressing Aboriginal development issues and approaches.
