Exhibition #50 Twenty five years have passed since the IAC (International Academy of Ceramics) first met in Canada. That was in 1973 in Banff. Now following an invitation from Canadian members it returns to this country, this time to Waterloo, Ontario. At earlier conferences the Academy presented exhibitions of their members' work of international standing who were masters in their field. Similarly, the IAC exhibition at Waterloo gives a unique survey of contemporary ceramics. Despite the many languages spoken by the artists contributing to this exhibition, communication is not a problem. Clay is the medium of communication and crosses international barriers.
