Hi! My name is Charlie the Cardinal. I'm helping students learn more about the many bird species of Canada. Come fly with me to find some fun facts about our fine feathered friends.
	Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Charles le Cardinal. J'aide des élèves à en apprendre d'avantage sur les nombreuses espèces d'oiseaux du Canada. Viens voler avec moi pour découvrir les faits intéressants au sujet de nos amis dans le ciel.

A Bird's Eye View was created by grade nine French Immersion students at Confederation High School in Nepean, Ontario, Canada, with the support of Industry Canada's SchoolNet Digital Collections program, the Ottawa Field-Naturalists' Club and the Canadian Heritage Information Network. The goal of this bilingual website is to educate elementary school children about the diverse species of birds in Canada.

A Bird's Eye View is based on the slide collection of the Ottawa Field-Naturalists' Club. Through this site, students will be able to access images and information about more than 100 bird species. In accordance with the geography component of the students' curriculum, visitors will also learn about the different regions of Canada. Charlie the Cardinal, the official guide of the site, will lead visitors across the different regions of Canada, introducing them to his "friends" and their habitats. In addition, there is an interactive quiz that will test your knowledge. Come and get A Bird's Eye View!

À vol d'oiseau a été créé par des élèves de 9e année du programme d'immersion française de l'école secondaire Confederation à Nepean (Ontario) Canada. L'exposition a été réalisée avec l'appui du programme des collections numérisées d'Industrie Canada, du club Ottawa Field-Naturalists et du Réseau canadien d'information sur le patrimoine. Ce site bilingue a pour objet d'initier les élèves de niveau primaire à l'ornithologie au Canada.

À vol d'oiseau fait appel à la collection de diapositives du club Ottawa Field-Naturalists. Grâce à ces pages, les élèves auront accès à des images et à de l'information sur plus de 100 espèces d'oiseaux différentes. Le site, qui tient compte des exigences du programme académique en géographie, donnera la possibilité aux visiteurs d'en apprendre davantage sur les différentes régions du Canada. Charlie le Cardinal, le guide officiel du site, conduira le visiteur dans les différentes régions du Canada et le présentera à ses « amis ». En plus, le visiteur pourra mesurer ses connaissances grâce à un jeu questionnaire interactif. Venez nous visiter À vol d'oiseau!
