You finally have a granddaughter! After six boys, it will be nice to have a little girl in the house. I think Mona is even more excited about our new daughter than I am!

You know we decided to give all our boys (Joseph, James, George, Charles, David and Michael) Canadian names, but we thought the Arabic name of Nadia would be the most appropriate choice for our daughter. As you know, Nadia means "first" or "the beginning" in our language, so we think it would be a good way to represent the first generation of our family born and raised in Canada. What do you think?

There has been much talk in our store about Hitler invading European countries. Some even say this could result in another great war. Personally, I will be perfectly happy never to see another war in my lifetime - especially since Joe and Jim will soon be old enough to join.
