George Shelfoons Store
Considered by some historians as one of the first Lebanese immigrants to arrive on Prince Edward Island, it is believed he came here in 1888. He settled in the Western end of the province where he worked as a peddler. He would eventually settle in the community of Tignish where he would open up a general store. His store became a legendary site in town and was a successful enterprise.
