Heritage Park

[Pic of Heritage Park sign]

Heritage Park, which is operated by the Fort McMurray Historical Society, is a 6.6 acre facility situated in the lower townsite of Fort McMurray. The park contains 15 historic buildings and 10 large artifacts (railway cars, tugboat, bucketwheel, drill rig, etc...) formerly situated in Waterways or Fort McMurray. These buildings and artifacts have been moved here to ensure they are properly preserved and to document the history of Fort McMurray for future generations. As well, Heritage Park contains a museum which houses displays on various areas of Fort McMurray's history.

[Map of park] The following is a map of the park. By clicking on the numbered items, you will view a picture of what the building or artifact looked like before being moved to the park and a picture of what it looks like now as well as receive a brief history.
