public wards will cost $1.75 per day, which is the standard rate throughout
the province. At the present, there are only 4-bed public wards in the hospital,
so that even here the patient will have more privacy than in the larger
and not so modernly-equipped hospitals of larger cities.
Beds in semi-private wards will cost $3.00 per day. In these semi-private
wards there are two beds.
Beds in private wards will cost $5.00 per day. There are one or two small
private wards which will cost $4.00 or $4.50 per day, depending upon the
size and location. The majority of the private wards will be in the $5.00
range.
For the benefit of residents of Fort Frances and the district, the following
visiting hours are being published.
Visitors of patients in private and semi-private wards may visit them 10
to 12 a.m., 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. daily, while visitors to patients
in public wards are restricted to afternoon and evening hours. Patients
in public wards may be visited from 2 to 4 o'clock in the afternoon and
from 7 to 8:30 o'clock in the evening. The hospital management requests
visitors not to visit patients in large numbers, and suggest groups of two.
