Cannon Trading posts were generally fenced in by a wall of logs 3 - 5 meters high, even so this might not be enough to protect the Fort. It was also thought necessary to have a cannon like this one at Fort Langley National Historic Site which fired a lead ball about the size of a golf ball. . Take Me Back!
