Woods Camp Late 1930's

When woodsmen cannot get to their various churches, religion is brought to them at their woods camp. In this picture a Salvation Army officer is holding the guitar. On his left is Leslie Payne, of Winter House Brook, with the fiddle. Next to Leslie is the accordion player and to the right of the officer is the cook in his long white apron. Many of these white aprons were made from 100-pound cotton flour bags.
