History

The site on which Woodward park is located was donated by Dofasco (Dominion Foundries and Steel Company). The park was named for its location on Woodward Ave. and is located right next to Woodward Public School.

Play equipment was installed in the park in 1988. Redevelopment of the park in 1995 included the installation of an accessible play structure, spray pad, shelter and walkway.
