J. Eastwood & Company, a wholesale and retail company, dealt in paper hangings, while also selling books and stationary. The company was located on 16 King Street East from 1869 to 1901. In 1889, the company bid to furnish the local library with books. The tender was however given to R.W. Douglass & Co. of Toronto. One advertisement belonging to the company read: "whatever the room and whatever the effect desired, we have the very paper that will suit the purpose. Select your paper and we’ll guarantee an artistic result".
