Human Resources Technologies Inc.
"Touching the Spirit of Human Resources"

Over the last two decades, as businesses have fought not only for profitability and growth, but often for survival, business leaders have been heavily investing in information systems to control and understand their real costs for doing business. Management information systems have enabled corporate leaders to make informed corporate decisions because of the availability and accuracy of operational data.

With vision based on business intuition and depth of human resources experience, Dr. Shayne Tracy, in 1988, developed HUMAN RESOURCES INFORMATION SYSTEMS stating “the time is upon us when corporations will be looking to have complete, accurate, available live data on their greatest resource. Information systems to give decision making data on this investment in human resources will be on the next wave of technological development.”

Human Resources Technologies Inc. is a privately owned, all-Canadian company based in Oakville, Ontario. In the six years since inception, its trademarked products Super HR and Super Trainer have been independently evaluated in the market as “the two leading PC based HRIS Software products in Canada.” Super HR is a Human Resources management information system that tracks all employee information such as work histories, benefits and salary administration, training, performance reviews and job descriptions. Additional features include succession planning, health and safety, absenteeism control, recruitment and applicant tracking. As well, the system allows the user to manage information required by government legislation such as Pay Equity and Employment Equity.

Super Trainer is an award winning Training Administration System that enables trainers to manage all training activities and generate management reports and cost-benefit statements.

Each year substantial allocations of capital have been poured back into the research and development of new products and enhancements including responding to the ever changing legislation of the various governments. The company, as a pathfinder, has grown consistently over the years to reach the point where there are now 350 installations. The company’s reputation continues to grow due to the ease of data input, information retrieval and powerful reporting capabilities. In addition, the company is moving the technology to include innovative features in the areas of personnel assessment and selection, and performance feedback.

The great value of technology is in its ability to consolidate information in a timely manner to allow management to have clarity of vision in its decision making. HR Technologies, in addition to providing software solutions for human resources executives, also provides consulting services in the areas of “performance management, organizational development, leadership training and executive recruitment.”

Human Resources Technologies Inc. is a human resources company, run by human resources professionals, and provides relevant services and technology for clients with 50 to over 10,000 employees. With this understanding of the HR function, HR Technologies adopted the theme “Touching the spirit of Human Resources” to help maintain its perspective that all aspects of its operation is to be contributing to the enhanced productivity and well-being of Canada’s workforce — our greatest treasure.
