Right - Dr. Alberto
Aguayo, presently Director of the Centre for Research in Neuroscience at
McGill University, is concerned with the study of the effects of damage
to the central nervous system and the capacity of nerve cells in the eye,
brain, and spinal cord to recover from injury. Born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina,
Dr. Aguayo is an internationally celebrated medical doctor. Many countries
have recognized his work including Sweden, Japan, France, Germany, and
the United States where he is a Fellow of the Institute of Medicine of

Left - Teresa Ottens, above
left, was born in Argentina in 1953. After travelling the world, she settled
in Canada in 1985 with her husband and two children. In 1987 she founded
the International Women's Association of Toronto where she fostered friendship
between women of different nationalities. A graduate of the Ontario College
of Art and Design, she has exhibited her works in her native city, Buenos
Aires, and participated in a variety of exhibits in Canada. Here she is
