One
of the World’s Premier Colour Portrait Photographers
It all began in Cairo when
Artin Cavoukian (1915-1995) reached 16 years of age and entered the studio
of his father Ohaness, a celebrated Armenian-born painter turned photographer.
Little did young Artin know that his career as a portrait photographer
would eventually take him in 1958 to Canada where he would become one of
the world's premier colour portrait photographers. This portrait of Artin
Cavoukian, left, was taken by son Onnig who perpetuates the Cavouk tradition
synonymous with excellence. [Photo, courtesy Cavouk Portraits]
