Founder of Brazilian Carnival Ball
Brazilians may not constitute a significantly large presence in Canada but their impact is significantly felt when the Brazilian Carnival Ball is held each winter at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Anna Maria Marcolini Guidi de Souza, the Brazilian-born Canadian who is the Founding President, has received for her many charitable causes the City of Toronto Medal of Merit for Community Service and Philanthropy, the Diamond Award from the Variety Club of Toronto, and, from the Governor General, the Queen’s Medal of Honour.
