Frank Bonello’s parents were immigrants from Mellieha, Malta. Their Canadian-born son became a hockey player, playing for the Whitby Dunlops which went on to win the Allan Cup in 1957. Other players on the same team included Harry Sinden, Roy Edwards, and Sid Smith. Frank Bonello also coached and managed the well-known Toronto Marboros Junior Hockey Team for 16 years. Since 1989, he has been the Director of Central Scouting for the National Hockey League. This view depicts this Maltese-Canadian with the Allan Cup and various championship hardware that the Whitby Dunlops, one of Canada's most famous Senior amateur teams, won in 1957.
