Before coming to Canada, 1980, Rashid A. Aziz, a native of Peshawar, Pakistan, became a Chartered Accountant, England, working there and in Iran until unrest in the Islamic Republic forced him and his wife to return to England. At the time, England was suffering high inflation and labour unrest, so they immigrated to Canada, settling, Vancouver, British Columbia, where Rashid worked as a Manager for Deloitte & Touche, 1980-87, before moving on to Quadra Logic Technologies as Vice President, 1988-93, and Inflazyme Pharmaceuticals Inc. as Executive Vice President and Director, 1993-94. That year he elected to open his own consulting and investment firm, now known as RAA Consulting Services. A resident of Vancouver, Rashid has been a Director, St. John Ambulance, Burnaby Branch, Camp Coordinator, French Camps in B.C., and a member of the Finance Committee of the Children’s Telethon. He is part owner of an environmental company and a director of four early-stage public companies in businesses ranging from pharmaceuticals to health and beauty care.
