Location:

Bruno is located in the Prairie Parkland region of Saskatchewan. It is also located in the rural municipality of Bayne #371, 90 km northeast of Saskatoon, just north of highway #5. SW 114 of S16-38-25 W2. The elevation is approximately 600 m.

Description:

Bruno is a mixed farming area, agriculture is the economic base. Farming of grains and oilseeds, hogs, cattle, and turkeys is prevalent. Bruno is located in the "sure crop district" of Saskatchewan. There has never been a crop failure here, and any drought or frost that does occur is generally mild.

Education:

Preschool: Preschool is offered in Bruno and operates a non-profit organization. Children aged 3-5 are welcome to attend preschool two days per week.
Elementary/High School: Bruno School has an enrollment of 250, and Kindergarten to Grade 12 are served in one newly built/renovated school. Bruno School employs a staff of 16 including clerical staff through the Walkaw School Division. The school has a full academic program which provides all of the requirements for a post-secondary education. An extensive sports program is offered, as well as Home Economics and Industrial Arts courses. Music Education is taught until Grade 9, but further training can be obtained privately.
Post Secondary: The Carlton Trail Regional College is located in nearby Humboldt and provides various vocational and academic related courses for surrounding communities including Bruno. Classes are arranged through a contact commitee and are given in Bruno.

Library:

The Wheatland Regional Library provides free library service six days of the week. The head librarian and a staff of volunteers administer the Bruno branch which is located on Main Street.
