Flying Officer H. G. Raney of the Royal Canadian Air Force Recruiting Center, Saskatoon, will pay a visit to Humboldt, arriving 3:10 p.m. on Monday, May 26th and leaving for Watson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, for the purpose of interviewing men who desire information regarding enlistment in the Air Force. He will be particularly interested in meeting men who can qualify as pilots, observers, wireless operators, (Aircrew), also any who have experience as stationary engineers, fireman (stokers), electricians with good knowledge of generators and motors, fabric workers (e.g. tailors or upholsterers), cooks and clerks with general office and typewriting experience. |
Applications will also be accepted for general duties, service police and guards, for which veterans under fifty who are physically fit, may be accepted. The purpose of this visit is to save would be applicants the time and expense involved in a trip to the Saskatoon Recruiting Center. Those whose qualifications are acceptable will be given application forms and in due course, when required to take the medical examination and trade test, will be given their transportation to Saskatoon. Any failing to pass them will receive their return fare also. All interested should get in touch with Flying Officer Raney, whose location while in Humboldt will be made known to the Postmaster upon arrival. |
