St. Elizabeth's Hospital Mission Statement

We, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital,
dedicate ourselves to caring
for the sick. We recognize and
affirm that the physical, spiritual and
emotional care of each person is essential
to the healing process.

We commit ourselves to a spirit of
compassion by providing the highest
quality of health care possible by using
available resources and technology.

Our ministry arises out of basic
Christian values which respect the dignity
and uniqueness of patients, staff
and all persons associated with the hospital.

We affirm that we are bound by a spirit
of charity which finds its inspiration in the
spirit and mission of St. Francis of Assisi.

Our dedication to serving the sick
has historic roots in the Franciscan
Sisters of St. Elizabeth founded by
Mother Appolonia Radermecher.

Inspired by this tradition, we will continue
to promote health care and healing in an
atmosphere of respect for human life.
Thus we affirm that human life is essentially
and absolutely sacred in all its aspects.
