The Oktberfest and the Ertendankfest are separate celebrations both serving to celebrate the completion of harvest.
The Oktoberfest was imported from Munich, Bavaria, Germany. In Germany this traditional two week festival is celebrated during the last week in September and the first week in Oktober. Included in the celebration are midway rides, enormous biertents, oompah bands, lots of beer and great food.
Humboldt welcomes everyone to their Oktoberfest at Humboldt. Drinking contest, fun, laughter, great dance music, and accordion jam session. Humboldt's stores offer an excellent selection of souvenirs, folkart and special sales to compliment this superb week-end.
