Sommerfest in Humboldt is a three day festival celebrating "German Heritage" with souvenirs, crafts displays and sales in addition to music galore with yodelling, accordion and alpine bells playing, brass bands offering polkas, waltzes and more to dance to. A comedy tentfest, Volkswagen show and shine, a mosaic of nations, outdoor breakfast, children's activities and a Saturday parade are some of the fun activities offered.
Following the ecumenical service in Glen Hall Park, Sunday is a 10 km sanctioned Volkswalk to the neighboring town of Muenster. More entertainment, drinks and delicious food are offered in the Muenster Community Hall. Everyone is cordially invited and is Herzlich Willkommen. For information, bus tour groups, recreational vehicles and caravans phone for group tour assistance to Ruth Wilson, Director Tourism and Special Events at (306) 682- 3444.
