Leisure time for many might have been spent in Little Lake Park like these people. In the past, Little Lake Park was a really popular tourist area, with many people coming to enjoy the lake and the nature. It was a favorite area where people spent their leisure time. Many people showed up to watch the Top Hatted Band gather in a circle and play on the corner of Bay and King in 1910. It was an exciting town gathering at the time and p eople really enjoyed themselves. These bands were very popular in the early century as the whole town came to watch them play! The IOOF Midland Band played for many special events in the town. It was Midland's biggest and best band which played at all public ceremonies. This picture was taken bet ween 1915-1920.
