Then and Now in Midland You chose the Then and Now Treasure Chest and it's a lot of fun, but I'm still stuck on one of the 30 000 islands. Look at the historic pictures by J.W. Bald and compare them to the newer ones! Read the other story pages as well and hopefully you will get enough clues to get me off the island. Things have really changed! This view looking south to King Street shows the Preston Company/Western Bank of Canada building on the left which is now a bowling alley and taxi service. The Queen's Hotel is shown behind, which presently is occupied by many small businesses.

Many buildings have changed in the town of Midland and the library which used to be the post office is one of the most noticeable buildings in town. To see more cool places, and how they look now, click on the picture!
