| Before 1941, the only sizable group of Japanese Canadians outside of British Columbia were less than 600 Japanese Canadians clustered around Raymond and Hardieville, Alberta. These settlers had come to the province between 1900 and 1920. By the 1930s they were well accepted as good neighbors. |
