Artefacts - Nails

Since wood was the dominant material used in the construction of the P.S. Lady Sherbrooke it should not be surprising that many nails were used to hold the pieces of the vessel together. A variety of sizes, shapes, and designs are evident in the nails recovered. Contrary to machine made nails which are used today, the nails from this period were hand made from cast iron. Artefacts
