Drawing Artefacts
As artefacts of all sizes were brought to the surface it was the responsibility of the team members at the surface to draw the objects. While this was a sometimes tedious job, and eyes could go crossed, it was essential in documenting the discoveries. Once the object was drawn a catalogue number and the grid location where the specimen was located was written on the design.
Even very large objects, such as a complete section of the stern, were drawn. These images could then be reduced and put together with other images. This puzzle would eventual lead to a reconstruction, on paper, of the P.S. Lady Sherbrooke
