The participants involved in the development of this web site are youth from the Ottawa
area who are trying to earn a living and develop marketable skills by working for Rideau
Street Youth Enterprises. These participants work on different contracts which RSYE is
able to secure to provide employment and training for street youth. Through a combination
of both literacy and computer skills, participating students have been able to develop
much of thier material found on this site. In this way, students were able to
improve their own literacy skills, while learning and putting into practice many
newly-accquired computer skills.
