Mary Healey

Mary Healey (1885-1923) is one of the early London women artists shrouded by the fog of time. Born at Bradford, England, her art training was at the prestigious Slade School of Art. trained as a painter in oil and watercolour, Healy produced a number of competent portraits and quality landscapes. later she emigrated with a brother to London, Ontario. Local friendships developed with Eva Bradshaw, Caroline Francomb and Albert Templar and she became an intregial part of the city art scene. Her budding Canadian career was cut short by an early death.
