London, Canada West (1842), watercolour and graphite on paper, 24.1 x 36.2 cm., gift of the Women's Canadian Club of London, 1987 Peter Valentine Wood (active 1810-1855) was a British military officer stationed in the Canadas. There is little information about his stay except that he served in both London and Quebec City. He was probably trained as a landscape topographer during his military training.
