Buildings from pre1900 - 1920

      Pre 1900: 1961 Vernon St., Louis Morand Store built in 1898, sold to Megaw then to Will Shields for general store in 1910, then a bakery cafe, Lumby Post Office, back to a cafe with many owners. At present owned by John and Linda Fawcett and operated as the Family Café. The Vernon Street Church built in 1895.

    1900 - 1920: 2160 Vernon St., Napoleon Bessette house built approx. 1905, present owner Ken Caldwell. 2231 Shuswap Ave., house built for Finlayson for his town house on early 1900's, no owned by Ralph and Ruby Dangerfield. 2237 Shuswap Ave., house built in early 1900's now owned by A. Ostenson. 2265 Shuswap Ave., house built in 1900's now owned by Doris Kemsley. 2280 Shuswap Ave., house built in 1912 for the Fellingham family. Present owner is Terry Fellingham. 2270 Shuswap Ave., house built in 1920 owned by Bonnie Minor. 2290 Shuswap Ave., Alphonse Quesnel house built in 1917/18, presently owned by Grace and James Carruthers. 2115 Park Ave., house built by Olivier Bonneville, presently owned by Scott Spence. 2133 Park Ave., built in 1912 by George Catt, rented to Dr. Nash from 1912-1914, during that time used as a hospital. 1914 Hugh and Elda Catt moved in. Present owner Joan Sawyer. 2193 Park Ave., Anglican Church built in 1913. 2032 Park Ave., house built for Percy Greaves before 1920. Present owner M. Maker. 2087 Glencaird St., Randolph Bardolph built his home there, presently owned by Eric and Janice Foster. 2091 Shuswap Ave., George Ormsby built a large general store, the top section was the Ormsby Hall, later the bottom housed a garage, store, post office, liquor store, clothing store, Sun Auto and Radiator Shop. At present is Freida's Pizza and Katies Fitness & Tanning. 2161 Shuswap Ave., built in early 1900's is now Bloom Medical Clinic. 2143 Shuswap Ave., built in early 1900's, now owned by D. Oliver. 2123 Shuswap Ave., built in early 1900's owned by Bill Brett, present owner is S. Hammond. 1997 Shuswap Ave., corner of Shuswap and Vernon St. Original First Bank Northern Crown built in early 1900, later used for Shields Store in 1931/32, then Bank of Nova Scotia. Will Shields added a drug store to east side of bank building for the first druggist George Thompson, then came Ron Lowen as druggist. On the west side, on the corner, was the Lumby Logger Newspaper, run by Harvey and Vi Howard. Gary Green is still owner of the property but at present the main portion is empty with 2 apartments and a Law and Investment office downstairs.
