Riverside Forest Products

The year 1947 saw the formation of Raboch Sawmills, and in 1952 it was incorporated as Raboch Sawmills Ltd. Enderby, BC. In 1967 they purchased Crossing Lumber Ltd. and in 1968 Balestra and Shnyder Ltd. They then operated in Lumby as Riverside Forest Products, Monashee Division.

In 1973 the mill burned down and they moved to their present site on Highway 6, west of Lumby, which was purchased from George Fisher Planing Mills Ltd. Bell Sawmills purchased the previous site and today the small office and land banks of Dutea Creek is in use by Chaput Bros. Logging and Sand & Gravel.

Riverside amalgamated with S&N Timber in 1978 and the company has expanded and grown stature ever since. Riverside Forest Products now employs more than 1500 men and women in Lumby, Kelowna, Armstrong and Williams Lake.
