Thomas William Gallichan
born February 3, 1873, in Jersey Channel Islands, came to Canada in 1903.
He settled in Ontario for a while before coming to Lumby. Mabel Mary Gallichan
was born February 3, 1884 in St. Brelades, Jersey and came out to Lumby
(Creighton Valley) in 1913 to marry Thomas. Rev. Joseph L. Wilson heard
their wedding vows May 22, of the same year.
Thomas worked for Mr. Bonneau
for some time. Their daughter, Grace Monica Garrett was born April 16,
1914 in the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. David Inglis. The Gallichans lived
in a log house at Creighton Valley before moving to Coldstream.
